A collection of ex-display ready to ship Card Sleeves in a variety of shades and thread combinations. There are also 3 different leathers being used here so please read the following descriptions for more info:
1 - Green with White thread (British veg-tanned leather dyed through)
2 - Russian Calf with Tan thread (from J&FJ Baker)
3 - Natural (patina) with Green thread (from J&FJ Baker)
4 - Natural (patina) with White thread (from J&FJ Baker)
5 - Brown with matching thread (from J&FJ Baker)
6 - Brown with Magenta thread (from J&FJ Baker)
7 - Brown with Green thread (from J&FJ Baker)
8 - Horween Chromexel with matching thread
Designed to fit a small amount of cards - will begin with up to 4 then naturally stretch to accommodate 6-8.

PERSONALISATION:
Let me know if you'd like your name or initials stamped onto the item, free of charge! Each letter measures roughly 5mm x 8mm and will be placed on the front side unless stated otherwise.

Process:
The entire piece is built by hand from my workshop. The leather is measured and cut in order to incorporate the natural markings of the hide. The raw edges are bevelled and burnished using beeswax balm to form smooth strong edges that will wear naturally over time. I use the saddle stitch technique where 2 needles are used simultaneously with a single piece of thread. This creates a very strong bond and the stitch is unlikely to ever unravel.
What is Vegetable-Tanned Leather?
The ancient craft of naturally tanning leather is complex and fascinating. Only natural materials such as tree bark are used to tan the leather, a process which can take several months. Veg-tan leather is beautiful, often displaying the history of life through scars and imperfections. The material will develop a wonderful patina unique to each owner and after years become a treasured object.
